From a man’s perspective: Lets face it, and even a few women will admit it…“Valentine’s Day Sucks.” .The stress Valentine’s has put on couples is ridiculous. Did I buy the right gift? Will he or she like it? Did I choose a romantic restaurant? Enough stress to send anyone to the local tavern for a few rounds of their favorite “thirst quenching sorrow beverage”…..kettle one dirty martini please.I’m a very romantic guy but I hate to be put under the gun. Valentine’s Day is reserved for “the once a year romantic.” Why should I be bound to send flowers? I send them all the time. Why should I feel like spending extra money going out to eat in a restaurant full of knuckleheads? We eat out all the time. Diamonds in this economy? Forget about it. I’d rather be a dog!
Luckily for us dogs the next few holidays offer more fun than stress:
St Patrick’s Day It’s a great day for eating, drinking and celebrating. I personally love St Patrick’s Day. It’s the day I give thanks for all those beautiful red heads. Yes, I am a sucker for the red heads. As far as I am concerned red hair and freckles should be against the law. They drive me crazy with lust.
Easter. Who doesn’t love this holiday? I love the bunny. Thanks Hugh. The beginning of my absolute favorite time of year… BBQ season. It’s that time of year women start wearing bright colors and those sexy hats. Yes, men love women in sexy hats it just gives that look of regal confidence.Kentucky Derby here I come…
Everyone’s favorite summer holiday is just around the corner. The 4th of July. The ultimate weekend of BBQ, beaches and limited clothing. Summer is such a romantic time of year. We stay up late and do more of everything….in less clothing. Cougar Candy is every where for you ladies. That reminds me to get my Winter ass to the F&%$#@ gym! Ouch!
We have a lot to look forward to and shopping for stressful gifts is not one of them.

Lately a lot of famous married men seem to be stepping out on their wives—and getting caught. The main reason they get caught is that the women they’re cheating with rat them out to the press. Who know why guys like Tiger Woods, Jesse James and David Boreanaz have steak at home, but insist on going out for dogburgers? But the motives of their consorts are pretty obvious—fame and money. The press insists on referring to these women as “mistresses.”
In days of old, a “mistress” was a woman who was “kept” by a married man, often a wealthy one. The “other woman” respected her man’s wife and family, and in return for being supported in style, she kept her mouth shut. The wife often knew about the mistress, but as long as she had the name, the house and the children, she also stayed quiet. Obviously, the new breed of “mistress” has little in common with her classier forerunners.
There are better terms to describe the strippers, nightclub hostesses, cocktail waitresses and porn stars who’ve mined their indiscretions for big bucks payoffs—like hooker, whore, skank and slut. I wish the media would stop honoring these calculating bimbos with the term “mistress” and call them what they really are.

Valentines is a bit over rated, unless of course your sweatheart comes up with a really great plan / idea / trip. Flowers, candy dinner out….BORING!

Men do seem to get cold feet right around this time of year. Valentines has never been a stress on me but I see how it is a burden to men.
