The Good F Word
-
Failure is the new success! Make sure that you fail often and with panache, elegance, and Cougar flair. If you haven’t failed, you simply haven’t lived. Get out there and find something to fail at. Embrace failure, grip it, hold it, and live it. Without it you cannot truly imagine or understand success and happiness. Failure is now a very hip, fresh, contemporary, and cosmopolitan thing to do. It’s now the rage, and what can be more modern and ironically more ancient than failure? All the poets and intellectuals have reveled in it, heroes have capitalized on it , and history is abounding in stories praising its glories in all civilizations.Failure has been studied, agonized over, and more scrutinized than success. It simply goes deeper. Failure really makes an impression on the human psyche. It’s truly the basis for knowledge and the stepping stone to victory and triumph. Success can only exist through trial and error..which some have labeled as failure. There it is again, ladies, the F word, but now its consistant with success. Isn’t this FABULOUS news? You now have nothing at all to fear! Never cringe at an F word again! Failure means that you tried, you were out in battle, survived a learning process, and most likely are on to the next really big and great thing.
The simple fact is that failure leads to success. Ask anyone who is successful, she has failed at least once, learned from it and picked her ass up and brushed herself off and got on that yellow brick road and probably had to pave it herself. That is success. The old adage, “that what does not kill you makes you stronger”…was coined when someone was flat on her derriere and kicked in the behind hard from our little helpful friend failure. Everyone has experienced some sort of disappointment, sorrow, regret, and simple (or complicated) failure…..so, congratulations, you now belong to a real club with countless already been kick assed members.
The F word is defined in the dictionary as the “opposite of success, a condition of not intended or desirable results” and the concept is as old as creation. Eve , Adam, and the sneaky snake all failed miserably in the Garden of Eden. The world was perfect and they just couldn’t accept it! So….God in Her ultimate wisdom ousted them and lo’ and behold there were no more free rides, just a bunch of failures sent out to propagate the world.
The secret is out. There is no real failure. Failure is just a process, a course, and progression that leads to unlimited success and happiness. So get out there and fail and be happy doing it!

I know it is an old cliche but quitters never win and winners never quit.” A real failure is a failure to try. We all have learn from our failures. Even more importantly, as a parent, a failure is an opportunity to teach one’s children that just because one failed one must still carry on with a smile make the best of it.
