Fear is a Four Letter Word

Fear is a horrible word. It’s a word that debilitates and takes your life away. It’s one of those four letter words that are the least productive and self annihilating ones. Who needs fear? Fearless is what Cougars should strive for. Life is short, break rules..all of them! Break rules that haven’t even been made yet, be creative! Love truly, laugh uncontrollably and never regret anything that makes you smile! If you haven’t grown up by now…why bother? what’s so great about being old? The only regret you should have and the only fear is that you didn’t do enough! That you didn’t try new things and push that fear factor to its limits. There is a wonderful trick against fear..but its a secret and every woman has this tool. Ok..you dragged it out of me..it’s called faking it…we all have endless experience at that! Pretend you’re not afraid and the courage will seep into you..its almost amazing…and it helps if you sock that sucker in the face and punch fears ugly head in. There is absolutely nothing in life that you need to face with fear. Face it with confidence and assertiveness…you’ll get the surprise of a lifetime!! Fear is just insecurity! Secure yourself! Take inventory of a wonderful woman who has the tools and desires to live life to its fullest and face obstacles with pizzazz and audacity. It actually works.

Lately a lot of famous married men seem to be stepping out on their wives—and getting caught. The main reason they get caught is that the women they’re cheating with rat them out to the press. Who know why guys like Tiger Woods, Jesse James and David Boreanaz have steak at home, but insist on going out for dogburgers? But the motives of their consorts are pretty obvious—fame and money. The press insists on referring to these women as “mistresses.”
In days of old, a “mistress” was a woman who was “kept” by a married man, often a wealthy one. The “other woman” respected her man’s wife and family, and in return for being supported in style, she kept her mouth shut. The wife often knew about the mistress, but as long as she had the name, the house and the children, she also stayed quiet. Obviously, the new breed of “mistress” has little in common with her classier forerunners.
There are better terms to describe the strippers, nightclub hostesses, cocktail waitresses and porn stars who’ve mined their indiscretions for big bucks payoffs—like hooker, whore, skank and slut. I wish the media would stop honoring these calculating bimbos with the term “mistress” and call them what they really are.

People cover themselves in a security blanket instead of the opportunity to feel a little cold. They are more afraid of life than of death…Freedom is the other side of that fear, and, Rita, I know you are a ‘no fear’ kind of gal, that’s why your spirit is young, because kids are not afraid of trying new things…older people can suffer just from the thought of risking, trying or moving forward. Hey Rita, it’s me. I took your advice and I’m doing something for the first time in my life… I blog… This is truly my very first time that I blog! I feel like an outdated cougar who’s ready to face challenges with pizzass and audacity. I’ll keep following this website and your blog. Looking forward to having fun. I’m not sure about breaking the rules, though… In my Virgo world, rules were made to keep the order. How can I survive in a world without order? Call me “a tamed cougar in a box”, but I’m sure looking forward to being enlightened. Go girl go — Make it happy and funny. Who knows… I might discover that a “big cage” is better than a “small box”…

Wow!!! You nailed it “fear” is terrible and it does stop people from being who they want to be. You are 100% right, sometimes you need to fake it to overcome an obstacle that might be stopping you.Great advice Rita

You go Girl!! I have a theory, If we fear what are we fearing except the opinion of people. I think that at least the people who know me love me anyway and the people who don’t like what I do it will deter them from trying to be a part of my world. At this age i’ve proven everything I wanted to everyone else now I just have to impress me LOL I impress myself with my outrageous behavior everyday! Life is too short to fear being ourselves
