It Took a Long Time to Get This Sexy!

Vanity Fair Contributing Editor Vicky Ward did a great piece for the Huffington Post entitled Sex Appeal Takes Years to Master. Ward tells how Details magazine has chosen 40-year-old Jennifer Aniston as the sexiest woman on the planet. It’s hard to argue when you’re looking at her naked on the cover of that recent issue of GQ.

We’ve already seen Valerie Bertinelli in a bikini at 48 on the cover of People and Cindy Crawford in a handful of lather in Allure. We know over-40s are hot, but why? Ward says, “There’s a celebration going on among all of us over 35. Our dirty little secret is finally out: it’s way hotter to be older and wiser than taut, 20 and clueless.”

Ward goes on to tell how older women have learned a lot of things the kittens don’t know—and not just about sex. She ends the article with: “So now we know why 40 is sexy and 20 is well, just 20. Personally, I look back at my twenties and think how very little I knew about anything, let alone men. But I’m very glad I only got told about racehorses and donkeys recently. If I’d heard that at 20 I might never have left the starting gate.”

Well, we’re all way outta that gate by now—and probably about halfway to the finish line. But if you play your cards right, getting older can just mean getting better!
