Cougars Gone Wild – Madonna

Madonna is the type of 50-year-old woman who gives cougars a bad name. After basing her dubious career on cheap PR stunts and shock value, it’s not surprising that she refuses to age gracefully.

After breaking up the marriage of 33-year-old Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez and taking him away from his two little kids, Madonna dumped him for younger, fresher game. While doing a photo shoot for W magazine, she spotted a 22-year-old model named Jesus Luz and made him her “leading man” for the layout.

No doubt, Madonna thought this layout made her look young and super sexy, like a new Marilyn Monroe. In reality, the photos look more like a cheap road show version of Tennessee Williams’ “Sweet Bird of Youth.”

Aging gracefully does not have to mean letting your hair go gray and dressing like your grandma. By all means, keep expressing your personality, style and what makes you so uniquely YOU! By now, you know who you are, so flaunt it!

But the best accessory for a 50-year-old woman is not Botox or a boy toy who’s younger than your Social Security number—it’s confidence! There are plenty of cougars out there, proudly showing the world what 40, 50, 60 or more really looks like. With her pathetic efforts to hang on to her lost youth, Madonna isn’t one of them.
